The City of San Diego implements two notable forms of ALPR surveillance technology provided by Flock Safety and Ubicquia.

Flock ALPRs

Cameras are typically mounted on dedicated poles, usually featuring a distinct solar panel above a dark, rectangular camera unit.

Ubicquia Smart Streetlights

Cameras are attached to existing streetlights, typically appearing as elongated modules with downward-facing camera lenses integrated directly into the light fixture.
